Course Information The Arizona DPS 24-hour Unarmed AND Armed Guard course includes the full three days of instruction for an individual to obtain an Arizona Unarmed and Armed guard card. The course fee includes fingerprints, photos, and range fees.

Disqualifiers: If you're under 18 years of age. If you are not a citizen or legal resident who is authorized to seek employment in the United States. If you have ever been convicted of a felony, whether or not your conviction was set aside and your Civil Rights were restored.

Requirements to Become an Unarmed or Armed Security Guard Be at least eighteen years of age. Be a citizen or legal resident of the United States who is authorized to seek employment in the United States. Not have been convicted of any felony or currently be under indictment for a felony.

Licensing and Registration Fee Any resident manager and/or associate application fee is $72 each, which covers the $50 license fee and the $22 fingerprint processing fee. These must be submitted with the new agency application.

Unarmed Security Guard Requirements in Arizona Being 18 years of age or older. Be a US citizen or legal resident. Criminal history check. Completing the correct paperwork. Complete the eight-hour pre-assignment unarmed training course.
