Get University of Maine Request to Reactivate Admissions Application

For our non-binding Early Action Application Program an application must be submitted by November 15th with all supporting documents filed no later than December 1st. Early Action Applicants will receive a decision by December 31st. All other timely applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Rolling admission means colleges review applications as they're sent in; there is no hard deadline by which you need to submit your application. In contrast, schools with a regular decision policy require you to submit your application by a certain deadline -- usually in late December or January.

University of Maine admissions is selective with an acceptance rate of 96% and an early acceptance rate of 56.2%. Half the applicants admitted to University of Maine have an SAT score between 1070 and 1280 or an ACT score of 22 and 30.

First-year students accepted through the regular rolling admission process will only be considered on a funds-available basis. All transfers accepted through June 1st will be considered for merit scholarships. Transfers accepted after June 1st will be considered on a funds-available basis.

A rolling admissions process will usually still have a final deadline. A rolling admissions process is not easier than a regular admissions process, so you still need to craft a strong application. You should also consider deadlines for housing and financial aid when choosing when to submit your application.
