By signing a discharge and release form, the insured declares that it had received payment of insurance benefits from the insurer and waives any further or future claim against the insurer in respect of the insured event.

In case of cashless claim, wherein Insurer releases payment in favor of workshop, a written consent is taken from the Insured prior to the release of claim payment to confirm his satisfaction towards his / her vehicle repairs. This written consent is called a Satisfaction Voucher.

I will check the policy document thoroughly for exclusions. Also, I was going through past judgements and found a case (link provided at the end) where Punjab and Haryana high court gave verdict in favor of customer that even if patient was discharge based on LAMA, insurance companies cannnot deny the claim.

I/We hereby voluntarily give discharge receipt to the Company in full and finalsettlement of all my/our claims present or future arising directly/indirectly in respect of the said loss/accident. I/We hereby also subrogate all my/our rights and remedies to the Company in respect of the above loss/damages.
