The Color Code is based on four types of personality, identified by color: Red, (motivated by power); Blue, (motivated by intimacy); White, (motivated by peace); and Yellow, (motivated by fun).

The 4-color personality model This highly accurate test uses a simple four-colour model (blue, green, red, and yellow) to provide insight into behavioral preferences for the growth of the individual, team, and organization regarding work performance.

True Colors is a personality profiling system created by Don Lowry in 1978. It was originally created to categorize at risk youth into four basic learning styles using the colors blue, orange, gold and green to identify the strengths and challenges of these core personality types.

Golds will create rules and processes. Blues will follow those rules and processes, Greens will question them, and Oranges will work around them. But each personality will understand the others' behaviors and thus be able to function better as a team and to resolve conflict more efficiently.

The Lüscher color test is fairly basic in its general concept. It's a psychological test based on the idea that personality traits can be identified by the color preferences of any individual.

The reliability studies found high reliability after 3 and 6 weeks. The construct validity studies substantiated that the Color Code assesses some personality traits. The magnitude of the error variance suggests caution, however, in using the Color Code classifications at the individual level.
