Minors age 14 and 15 years old combined hours of school and work cannot exceed 48 hours in a workweek. 14- and 15-year-olds may not work before 7:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. Minors 16 and 17 years old may work 24 hours per week when school is in session and 48 hours per week when school is not in session.

The Individual Hours Deviation application is used by an employer to request a modification to the starting and/or ending times for a specific 16 or 17 year old minor working at their location. The minor's parent must give written consent for the minor to work the deviated hours.
