Complaints of prohibited discrimination/harassment can be reported to either (Name of State Agency's EEO/AA Officer), the EEO/AA Officer, (Authorized Designee) or to any supervisory employee of the State Agency or through the State's Hotline (833-691-0404).

Walk-ins are only allowed for first time licenses/IDs/permits, name changes, and red decals at Licensing Centers. Other MVC transactions that can't be completed online require an appointment that customers need to schedule at NJMVC.gov. Appointments at Licensing and Vehicle Centers must be scheduled at NJMVC.gov.

It is the driver's responsibility to submit proof of payment of outstanding fines or tickets to the MVC to be restored. Once you have satisfied the reason for the suspension, completed any suspension period that had been ordered, and paid the required fees, you will receive a Notice of Restoration in the mail.

To request a hearing, you or your attorney must send a letter to the MVC outlining your intent to challenge the suspension and the grounds on which the challenge is based. The hearing is a vital step toward preventing the suspension of your license.

Appealing the License Suspension You must submit an official letter of appeal request before the suspension effective date noted on the Scheduled Suspension Notice. Included in the request for appeal are your argument against facts or the legal basis of your license suspension or another arguable defense.
