The Military Tuition Assistance Program supports Service members pursuing their voluntary, off-duty education goals. MilTA will fund up to $4,500 per year for courses leading to an undergraduate or graduate degree. Consult DAFI 36-2670, Total Force Development for more details.

The Veterans Resource Center will process your approved TA request and work with the Student Accounting office to posts the credit to your student account. Please note that it can take 3-5 business days for a form to be processed to your account from the date it is submitted.

The College Fund, also known as the GI Bill® Kicker, is an educational benefit that is added to your GI Bill®. The kicker can increase your monthly GI Bill® payment rate by as much as $950 a month. This means that you can actually boost your regular GI Bill® benefit value from $39,363 to over $72,000.

Current Army policy limits TA to 130 semester hours of undergraduate credit or baccalaureate degree, whichever comes first and 39 semester hours of graduate credit or master's degree whichever comes first.

Soldiers on active duty are eligible for Tuition Assistance. institution's tuition and fees are $250 or less per semester hour (or equivalent), the Army will pay 100 percent of the amount charged by the institution for up to 16 semester hours of TA funded courses per fiscal year.

The Army Tuition Assistance program (TA) pays 100% of tuition and required fees for taking college courses while on active duty.

Effective 8 September 2023, Soldiers will no longer be able to request TA for future dated FY23 courses in ArmyIgnitED due to the Army's fiscal year closeout.

TA is available for a Master's degree or up to 39 SHs of graduate credit, whichever comes first; which, includes any classes taken at the undergraduate level that are part of a graduate degree.
