How to fill out the Cookout Checklist online
Planning a successful cookout requires careful organization and attention to detail. The Cookout Checklist is designed to help users streamline the preparation process, ensuring nothing is overlooked. This guide will provide you with a step-by-step approach to completing the Cookout Checklist online.
Follow the steps to complete your Cookout Checklist online.
- Click ‘Get Form’ button to obtain the Cookout Checklist and open it in the editor.
- Begin by determining the date, time, and location for the cookout. For the date, consider any significant events such as pay days and end of field exercises. Set the time between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. and decide on a suitable location, such as the Outside Motor Pool area.
- Identify the food handlers and verify that they have completed the Preventive Medicine Food Handlers Class. Retain copies of their certificates.
- Obtain approval for the FRG fundraiser by contacting your BDE/BN FRSA. Complete the FRG Fundraiser Request Form and ensure it is submitted 30 working days prior to the event.
- Reserve a grill by calling Outdoor Rec at 4424. Consider whether to request donations from the P/X and commissary, or to gather contributions from group members for various food items.
- Begin advertising the event. Use flyers and announcements in formations and FRG meetings to spread the word.
- Two weeks before the cookout, secure refrigerator space for perishable items and start requesting individually wrapped baked goods from Soldiers and their spouses.
- One week before the event, make a final reminder to everyone involved, purchase necessary items, and ensure readiness by organizing tables, chairs, and other supplies.
- On cookout day, set up logistics such as delivering the grill, heating the charcoal, and managing the layout of food and supplies. Assign specific roles to volunteers to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- After the cookout, send thank-you notes to all volunteers, record their hours, and provide an update in the FRG newsletter highlighting the cookout's success.
