1-1 Purpose: Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) is a program within the United States Army, including its reserve components (the Army Reserves and Army National Guard), to qualify for pending deployments.

Other injuries, can be weathered through the remainder of the deployment but require definitive treatment or plan of care at the end of the tour. Therefore, Soldiers returning from overseas contingency operations go through what is termed a “reverse SRP” upon return to their home base.

AR 600-8-101 (19 FEB 15) specifies two primary levels of SRP: Level 1 and Level 2. Level 1 applies to general readiness requirements, all routine deployments, and for training/exercises.

A soldier may typically complete these stations in as little as 25 minutes or as long as two hours. The soldier will visit several stations during the administrative portion of the SRP, including legal, chaplain, life insurance, family situation changes, and security clearances.

Soldiers are provided pre- and post-deployment readiness, as well as general readiness, at the Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP). Service members and DoD civilians are given materials, guidance, and care to ensure deployments are executed and completed to the Army deployment standards.
