HepG2 is a human hepatoma that is most commonly used in drug metabolism and hepatotoxicity studies. HepG2 cells are nontumorigenic cells with high proliferation rates and an epithelial-like morphology that perform many differentiated hepatic functions.

Hepa 1-6 Growth Parameters The tumors have a median doubling time of ~5-6 days with no adverse body weight changes (data not shown). This steady growth rate allows for a three-week therapeutic window to evaluate anti-tumor responses. Fig. 1: Hepa 1-6 tumor growth kinetics in C57L/J and C57BL/6 mice.

Description. Hepa1-6 (ATCC® CRL-1830™) is a murine hepatoma cell line from a C57L mouse. The cells are adherent and have an epithelial morphology. Hepa1-6 cells will form tumors and spontaneous metastases post implantation into syngenic C57L/J mice.

ECACC General Cell Collection: N1-S1 Cell Line Description: Established from the ascitic fluid of a Novikoff hepatoma. The cells can be synchronised for cell cycle studies. N1-S1 has also been used for studies of pyrimidine metabolism, DNA synthesis and methylation and ribosomal RNA maturation.

The most commonly mutated genes in liver cancer are TP53, CTNNB1, TERT, HNF1A, LRP1B, ARID1A, AXIN1, ARID2, KMT2C, and IL6ST.
