- Calculate the total mileage incurred while providing qualifying services. This figure will be entered in line 1 of the form.
- Multiply the total mileage from line 1 by 53.5 cents (0.535) and enter the resulting amount on line 2.
- Input any reimbursements you received for the mileage you've reported on line 1 in line 3.
- Enter the amount that is included as an itemized deduction on your Maryland return on line 4.
- Add the amounts from lines 3 and 4 to get the total Maryland deductions from mileage allowance, and record this total on line 5.
- Subtract the total from line 5 from the amount on line 2 and write the result on line 6. This value should be entered on line 'q' of Form 502SU or line 'q' of Form 505SU.
- Once all sections are completed, save your changes. You may also download, print, or share the filled-out form as needed.
