Does Puerto Rico recognize Florida concealed carry permit?

The Puerto Rico gun law indicates that Puerto Rico honors permits from all states, enclaves, possessions or territories of the United States of America.

Permanent export regulations require that prior to traveling outside the United States with firearms and/or ammunition, all departing persons must obtain a valid and appropriate DDTC or BIS export license or qualify for a valid license exemption.

You may transport unloaded firearms in a locked hard-sided container as checked baggage only. Declare the firearm and/or ammunition to the airline when checking your bag at the ticket counter. The container must completely secure the firearm from being accessed. Locked cases that can be easily opened are not permitted.

(You must possess a permit to transport in a vehicle.) These weapons must be unloaded, in a closed case and shielded from plain sight. Puerto Rico will honor all out-of-state concealed carry permits, once MOU's are established. Also, it will issue concealed carry permits to non-residents.

In 2016, Puerto Rico had one of the lowest rates of gun ownership in the U.S. with only 225,000 firearms owned. A rate of just 6.6 guns per 100 people.

Under Puerto Rico law, a person cannot have or buy a gun unless s/he has a weapons license.
