BDC Small Business Week is a national celebration of Canadian entrepreneurs and their contribution to Canada's economy. The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) has been organizing Small Business Week since 1979. It takes place every year during the third full week of October.

WASHINGTON – SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman, the voice in President Biden's Cabinet for America's over 33 million small businesses, announced National Small Business Week (NSBW) will take place April 30-May 6, 2023.

National Small Business Day celebrated on May 10. Today, we celebrate the self-employed and those with startups. We appreciate the individuals with big ideas and the drive to make them come true. The United States has always thrived on the idea of entrepreneurship.

October marks Small Business Month in Canada.

A great way to commemorate Small Business Month is to offer something special that will exclusively be available for that month. For example, you can have a signature drink named after your business or a special printed shirt or hat designed to celebrate your business.

October short form is Oct. October is the tenth month of Julian and Gregorian Calendar. Its day length is 31 days so that its the 6th month out of seven months that have 31 days length.

Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America's entrepreneurs and small business owners.
