After last year's cancellation, the 2021 tournament will be the 10th with a 68-team field and will begin with the First Four Thursday, March 18 in Bloomington and West Lafayette. Those two cities will join Indianapolis as hosts of first-round games March 19-20.

The 2021 Men's NCAA March Madness Tournament Bracket matchups will be announced on Sunday, March 14th between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. EST. Our Printable March Madness Bracket will be available soon thereafter.

In 2014, Brad Binder went 36-for-36 to start the tournament. Yahoo! Sports reported that Binder's bracket was the only time it had a perfect bracket go into the second round in its 18-plus years of hosting a game.

The March Madness bracket is the grid of all the teams in the tournament and the path they have to follow to the Final Four and the championship game. Filling out a bracket with the winners of each of the 63 games is an incredibly difficult task, and nobody has successfully filled out a perfect bracket.

How does it work? A tournament bracket pits an even number of teams in several rounds of games until there's only one team standing. A bracket contains a minimum of four games,, but usually the tournament field contains many more teams.

As such, the number of possible outcomes for a bracket is 2^63, or 9,223,372,036,854,775,808. That's 9.2 quintillion. In case you were wondering, one quintillion is one billion billions. If we treated the odds for each game as a coin flip, that makes the odds of picking all 63 games correctly 1 in 9.2 quintillion.
