Auditor independence refers to the independence of the external auditor. It is characterised by integrity and requires the auditor to carry out his or her work freely and in an objective manner.

To be independent, the auditor must be intellectually honest; to be recognized as independent, he must be free from any obligation to or interest in the client, its management, or its owners.

What is personal independence? As a public accounting firm, PwC and its partners, employees, third-party contractors and their immediate family members must be independent of PwC's audit clients, including their affiliates, to comply with applicable independence regulations.

First Week (PwC Induction) During your induction, your career coach will talk though your development goals with you. A partner or director will become your mentor, helping you to fully understand the company, and the opportunities open to you on a long-term basis.

An "immediate family member" includes a person's spouse, parents, children, siblings, mothers and fathers- in-law, sons and daughters-in-law, brothers and sisters-in-law, and anyone (other than domestic employees) who shares such person's home.

After taking the written test, the successful applicants will be notified within 2 – 3 weeks to attend the interview. The interview outcome will be informed around 2 weeks after the session.
