The Early Childhood Behaviour Questionnaire (ECBQ) was designed to assess temperament in children aged between 1-3 years old. The ECBQ was designed to provide a more comprehensive and detailed assessment of temperament compared to existing measures appropriate for toddlers (Putnam, Gartstein, & Rothbart, 2006).

The CBQ is a caregiver report measure designed to provide a detailed assessment of temperament in children 3 to 7 years of age.

The Early Childhood Behavior Scale (S. B. McCarney, 1992a) was developed to assess children 36 to 72 months of age. The ECBS consists of 53 items divided into three subscales: Academic Progress (10 items), Social Relationships (12 items), and Personal Adjustment (31 items).

The Children's Behavior Questionnaire (Very Short Form) – (CBQ-VSF) The CBQ-VSF is a 36-item informant-report questionnaire assessing temperament of children (ages 3 – 8). The questionnaire is designed to capture three broad dimensions: surgency/extraversion, negative affectivity, and effortful control.

The Early Childhood Behavior Questionnaire has been designed to assess temperament in children between the ages of 18 and 36 months. The ECBQ assesses the following dimensions of temperament: Activity Level/Energy: Level (rate and intensity) of gross motor activity, including rate and extent of locomotion.

The CBAQ was initially developed for boys only to measure gender conformity or nonconformity by means of parents' reports of their sons' participation in boy-typical and atypical behaviors, their relations to peers and parents, and the occurrence of behavior problems considered more frequent for boys than for girls.
