Include information regarding how and where you intend to possess or use a firearm, your knowledge of Massachusetts firearms laws, and information about your firearms training. A LTC may ONLY be issued to a non-resident, non-citizen (alien) for the purpose of firearms competition.

To apply for a Non-Resident License to Carry Firearms or a Resident Alien Permit: You must apply for a non-resident license to carry firearms or a resident alien permit through the Firearms Records Bureau. You will need: A complete non-resident firearms license or resident alien permit application.

If you have Internet access, you can print an application directly at home from the website of the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security. If you do not have Internet access, you can call the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security at 617-727-7775 to request an application by mail.

At a minimum you need an FID Card for non-large capacity rifles and shotguns. For handguns or other large capacity weapons, you need an LTC.
