The Hope Scholarship is for students in grades kindergarten through 12 who are enrolled in a Florida public school and have been bullied, harassed, assaulted, threatened and or other violent acts to transfer to another public school or enroll in an approved private school.

A student is ineligible to receive HOPE Scholarship funds once the student has reached the 127 semester or 190 quarter hour limit. HOPE Grant is available to Georgia residents who are pursuing a certificate or diploma.

Private school scholarships are an average of $7,700. The final award depends on the student's grade level and the county in which the student lives.

The Hope Scholarship Program (Program) provides a public-school student who was subjected to an incident of violence or bullying at school the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to attend an eligible private school rather than remain in an unsafe school environment.

Students in households earning up to 375 percent of the federal poverty level ($104,063 for a family of four in 2022-23) are eligible for scholarships. Students who qualify under 200 percent of poverty ($55,500 for a family of four) are eligible for full scholarships worth up to $7,408.
