Pursuant to Alabama Act 2019-340, you must visit the Alabama Vital Statistics website to complete the Alabama Marriage Certificate form. The form should be completed by the persons entering into marriage. Upon completion, the form should be notarized and delivered to the Montgomery County Probate Court for recording.

To complete an application for a marriage license, one or both spouses must appear in person at a courthouse, city hall, or town office and sign the marriage license application in the presence of the clerk (along with payment of a fee). The marriage license is either mailed or picked up by the couple.

In Person in Alabama: You may go to any county health department in the State of Alabama to obtain a certified copy of an Alabama marriage certificate. Most marriage certificates can be issued while you wait. A map showing locations of county health departments where vital records may be obtained is available.

Florida marriage license are valid for 60 days from the effective date. The marriage ceremony must be performed between the effective date and the expiration date on the license.
