Similar to the COR Delegate, the Key-Three Delegate is an individual who the unit has designated as someone who is authorized to approve youth applications that have been submitted for your unit online.

In the BSA's early days, councils assigned numbers to new troops numerically. The first troop in a council was Troop 1, the second was Troop 2 and so on. Today, Cub Scout packs, Scouts BSA troops, Sea Scout ships and Venturing crews get to pick their own one- to four-digit number.

The unit key 3 are the unit leader, chartered organization representative, and unit committee chair.

Troop equipment includes Dutch ovens, water jugs, frying pans, etc. and a kit for the adult patrol. The front of the trailer has a two-burner and a three-burner Camp Chef stove. There is plenty of room for fire buckets, axe yard equipment, staves, flags, coolers and dry boxes.

Behind every great Scouting unit, district, council, area and region is a committed Key 3. These are the three top individuals within each segment of Scouting. The BSA even has a National Key 3, which includes our national chair (previously called national president), Chief Scout Executive and national commissioner.

Quartermasters serve as the troop's supply boss. They keep an inventory of troop equipment and see that the gear is in good condition. They work with patrol quartermasters as they check out equipment and return it.

Scouts BSA: They'll follow the “chain of command.” Scouts are taught to go to their patrol leader, then their senior patrol leader and finally the adults. Where safety or health is an issue, though, Scouts may go straight to the adult.

Traditionally the primary adult Scout Leader is called Skip, short for Skipper, but recently more often by their first name. Similarly, the primary Cub Scout Leader is called Akela, after the leader of the Wolf pack in The Jungle Book, although this is more common.
