For the CADC Level You must pass a criminal background check. You must be currently employed at an ADC agency. If you do not have a degree you will need 6000 hours of supervised A&D work experience to be certified. If you have an Associate's degree you will need 5000 hours of experience.

Complete 46 hours of required training (advocacy, mentoring and education, recovery and wellness, and ethical responsibility); Complete at least 500 hours of related volunteer or work experience; and. Complete at least 25 hours of supervision by qualified supervisory staff.

Successful completion of 46-hour training from a South Carolina PSSCC Certified Training Center. 500 hours of volunteer or paid experience specific to the four domains (Advocacy, Mentoring/Education, Recovery Support, and Ethical Responsibility). Successful completion of the IC&RC written examination.
