- Back in the Printed Watermark dialog box, adjust the Scale to 100% and ensure the Washout checkbox is selected before clicking OK to insert the picture as a header.
- Click on the File tab and select the Print tab to preview your document. Ensure your view matches the expected output.
- Go to the Insert tab and in the Header & Footer group, click the Header button, then select Edit Header to prepare for watermark editing.
- Select the watermark in the header so that handles appear around the faded image.
- Return to the Page Layout tab, click the Watermark button, then choose Save Selection to Watermark Gallery.
- In the Create New Building Block dialog box, enter 'City Hall Watermark' in the Name box, verify Watermarks is selected in the Gallery box, and click OK.
- To exit the header editing, click the Close Header and Footer button in the Design tab.
- From the Page Layout tab, click the Watermark button and scroll to check that the City Hall Watermark appears in the General category.
- Right-click the City Hall Watermark thumbnail and choose Organize and Delete from the shortcut menu.
- In the Building Blocks Organizer dialog box, ensure the City Hall Watermark is selected as displayed.
- Create a full-screen snip and save it as Lastname_Firstname_w06_Memo_Snip in your Word Chapter 6 folder, then close the Snipping Tool window.
- In the Building Blocks Organizer dialog box, select the City Hall Watermark and click Delete.
- Review the confirmation message, click Yes, and then click Close.
- Finally, save your work and either print or submit the project as instructed. If prompted, select 'Don’t Save' before exiting Word.
