- Indicate whether you are a life or non-life member of the Advocates Benevolent Association and attach a copy of the life membership certificate if applicable.
- Confirm that you comply with the Professional Indemnity Regulations and attach relevant documentation.
- Record the date when your name was entered on the Roll of Advocates, along with the exact day and year.
- Express your wish to apply for the Advocates ID, and note that you'll need to provide two passport photographs and a processing fee.
- Indicate your compliance status with Continuing Professional Development Regulations and any outstanding Disciplinary Tribunal fines.
- Submit your Accountant Certificate if you are a sole proprietor or partnership, or fulfill the Statutory Declaration requirements based on your practice situation.
- Select your primary areas of practice from the list provided, marking only the five main areas and indicating the percentage of working time spent in each.

In practice, the application for an annual PC is made to the Chief Registrar through the Law Society of Kenya through the process below: Advocate fills Declaration Form and sends to LSK. Upon approval by LSK, the Advocate is allowed to pay annual fees. LSK forwards the Declaration, invoice & receipt to the Chief Registrar.
