Clear Resin is great for fluidics and mold making, optics, lighting, and any parts requiring translucency or showcasing internal features. Stereolithography 3D printing technology makes clear prints possible on the desktop. Supports print resolutions: 100, 50, and 25 microns.

The build volume of the Form 2 is 145 × 145 × 175 mm. The Form 3 uses the same build platform, but can lift it slightly higher, for a build volume of 145 × 145 × 185 mm.

The Form Labs Form 2 utilizes digital stereolithography to create high-resolution 3D prints with layers 25 - 100 microns thick at a resolution of approximately 140 microns.

SLA can achieve much higher resolutions than FDM because it uses a laser to solidify the material. SLA printing resolution in the xy-direction (or horizontal resolution) depends on the laser spot size, and can range anywhere from 30 to 140 microns.

Currently, the Form 2 SLA 3D printer supports layer heights of 100 and 50 microns in all resins. Clear, White, and Castable Resins can achieve Z resolutions as high as 25 microns. This selection of layer heights gives you the ideal balance of speed and resolution.

The build volume of the Form 2 is 14.5 × 14.5 × 17.5 cm (5.7 × 5.7 × 6.9 in).
