Get Additional Cordless Handset

If you've got a multi-handset cordless phone setup, then you will only need a single base unit for all your handsets. This means that although every handset will ring and be able to make calls, only one base station is required to handle them all. One base station could also be used to charge each of the handsets.

You cannot use multiple base stations in the same house due to they operate on the same frequency and will interfere with each other. It would work, but not well.

There really is no "absolute limit" on the number of phones or devices you can use on a phone line, but there is a limit on the amount of power available in your phone line. If you have too many telephone devices (including modems, telephones, answering machines, faxes, etc.), none of your phones will ring.

If they are a set with just a single base unit you'll only need one phone line or jack for them both to work. If the each have their own base that requires a connection to the phone line you can still use them, just make sure that both bases have power and a phone jack (RJ-11) to plug into.
