The Self Perception Profile for Children (SPPC: Harter, 1985) is a 36-item scale that consists of five domain-specific sub-scales (scholastic competence, social acceptance, athletic competence, physical appearance, behavioral conduct) and one global measure of self-worth.

Harter's Self Perception Profile for Children (SPPC) are self-report scales that measures a school-age child's sense of general self-worth and self-competence in the domain of academic skills (Harter 1982, 1985), giving insight into how children evaluate themselves.

Measures. It taps eight specific self-concept domains: Scholastic Competence, Athletic Competence, Social Competence*, Physical Appearance, Behavioral Conduct, Close Friendship, Romantic Appeal, and Job Competence.

Harter's work has identified nine domains, including Scholastic Competence, Social Acceptance, Close Friendships, Romantic Relationships, Athletic Competence, Physical Appearance, Behavioral Conduct, Job Competence, and Global Self-Worth (Harter 1999).
