Trucks with PrePass approval are close to getting the go-ahead to bypass weigh stations in eight states: Wisconsin, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Indiana, North Carolina, Michigan and Montana.

If you are enrolled in PrePass Plus, your ElitePass transponder can also be used to electronically pay tolls at plazas throughout the E-ZPass network and on toll roads in California, Florida, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas.

The PrePass Plus program provides toll payment services and one consolidated billing statement covering multiple tolling authorities, including E-ZPass, SunPass, K-Tag, PikePass, TxTag and FasTrak networks. This way, customers do not need multiple transponders or have to deal with bills from each tolling authority.

PrePass Device: Transponder must be mounted two inches to the right or left of center and at least two inches (but not more than three inches) from the top of the windshield, or two to three inch clearance above the dash. We recommend the lower placement especially for trucks with visors and/or overhangs.

PrePass tolling service customers can now use their PrePass Plus or Tolls Only transponder to pay tolls operated by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) and the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA).

Florida is currently the only state that allows certain carriers to bypass agriculture inspection stations. Trucks that are not hauling agriculture, aquaculture or horticulture cargo can qualify by submitting an application to PrePass. PrePass works closely with FDACS authorities to approve or deny each case.

With a transponder, PrePass customers can expand access to these sites in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, South Dakota, Alaska parts of New York and Connecticut, and the province of British Columbia. The PrePass transponder also provides 100% data transmission accuracy at sites with transponder RFID readers.
