Withdraw the required volume from the vial(s) of KEYTRUDA and transfer into an intravenous (IV) bag containing 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP or 5% Dextrose Injection, USP. Mix diluted solution by gentle inversion. The final concentration of the diluted solution should be between 1 mg/mL to 10 mg/mL.

In adults with certain cancers, KEYTRUDA is usually given every 3 weeks or every 6 weeks depending on the dose that you are receiving. In children, KEYTRUDA is usually given every 3 weeks. Talk to your doctor about the treatment schedule that is right for you.

Review medications- Discuss all medications you take including over the counter, herbal, vitamins, supplements, alternative medicines, and home remedies as they can interfere with treatment. Vaccine recommendations- Ask your doctor if vaccinations like those for the flu and COVID are suggested prior to treatment.

Avoid spicy foods, high-fiber cereals, red meats, fats, dairy products, raw fruits (except bananas), vegetables, caffeine, alcohol, and sugar. Instead eat bland foods such as bananas, pudding, rice, toast, oatmeal, or crackers.

Likewise, if you experience mouth irritation or sores, you may want to avoid acidic foods, such as: Citrus fruits. Vinegar-based salad dressings. Tomatoes. Carbonated beverages. Alcoholic beverages.

Evaluate liver enzymes, creatinine, and thyroid function at baseline and periodically during treatment. For patients with TNBC treated with KEYTRUDA in the neoadjuvant setting, monitor blood cortisol at baseline, prior to surgery, and as clinically indicated.

This medicine may cause serious kidney problems (eg, nephritis, kidney failure). Tell your doctor right away if you have bloody or cloudy urine, nausea, vomiting, trouble breathing, swelling of the face, feet, or lower legs, unusual tiredness or weakness, or unusual weight gain.

The recommended dose of KEYTRUDA in adults is 200 mg administered as an intravenous infusion over 30 minutes every 3 weeks until disease progression or unacceptable toxicity, or up to 24 months in patients without disease progression.
