A kicked ball must travel a minimum of thirty feet to be considered fair. A ball that travels one hundred (100) feet in the air is considered a home run, worth two (2) points if the kicker makes it to the buzzing base within 30 seconds.

The Lineup Card contains the names of each player along with their spot in the kicking order and their field position. The Game Sheets are used to keep the score for each game.

Any ball touched by the foot or leg, below hip level, is a kick. 9.02 All kicks must occur: at or behind home plate. The kicker may step on home plate to kick, however no part of the planted foot may be in front of or cross the front edge of the home plate (see Rule 13.02g).

You must count the runs for your team, the kicker results for each kicker on your team, and the number of runs for your opponent as well. If you only have 10 players on your roster, then you will have to keep track of your opponents' runs while you are out in the field; usually this is a group effort.

Kickball rules generally follow baseball/softball rules, with the exception that the ball is kicked rather than struck with a bat. The pitcher rolls the ball towards the catcher, the “batter” kicks it with his/her foot, then runs to first base, becoming a runner.
