1. Press the ‘Get Form’ button to access the form and open it in the editor.
2. Begin by starting your 30-day trial for your unit on the designated site. Ensure that you set up your Pack or Troop by using the Edit Troop or Edit Pack links available in your account.
3. Prepare your export files from your existing tracking program. Ensure that each Scout has a date of birth (DOB) included; if absent, Scoutbook will use a temporary DOB of January 1st of the relevant year.
4. Check that all adult leaders have unique email addresses in your data files as Scoutbook requires unique emails for account creation. Assign a position to each adult leader before exporting.
5. Export the data from your existing tracking program with the default file extension. Ensure that all necessary field names are included in the export.
6. Upload your files by navigating to your Roster page and clicking on the Roster Import link. Allow 24-72 hours for the uploaded data to be processed.
7. Once processed, log in to Scoutbook to ensure that accounts for all adults with emails have been automatically created.
8. Confirm that the imported information for each Scout is accurate, especially the DOB, to avoid duplications or errors.
