In the first class you will learn to massage your babies legs and feet, then each week we add a new part of the body until we have completed a full body massage. There is also time to discuss various issues that arise when you become a new parent and we look at a variety if relaxation techniques for you as a parent.

Massage can be soothing for babies. Make sure the room is warm, your baby is quiet, well-rested and alert, and you're relaxed. Try massage after a nap, when your baby is being changed or in the cot, or after a bath. You can do massage for 10-30 minutes.

The physical benefits of the baby massage are amazing and it's suitable from birth to crawling. During the weekly sessions you will interact with your baby through massage, we sing songs, have discussions, poems and all sorts of fun things, including some baby yoga.

How often you massage your baby depends on you and your baby. Some parents give their baby massages daily, while other parents massage their little ones every other day. You can massage your baby during the morning to get the day going or at night before bedtime to help soothe your baby to sleep.

Generally, infant massage is suitable from birth but most parents start to attend classes when baby is around 4-6 weeks old. Before this, although babies love nurturing touch, being in a class can seem overwhelming for babies. Having said that we sometimes have babies as young as 2-3 weeks in sessions.

Baby Massage has been shown to have lots of positive outcomes including better sleep, help with tummy troubles, and improved development. By coming to massage class when your baby is still small you can be enjoying these benefits sooner!

Most families give a daily massage to their baby for the first year. Many families continue giving massages, though less frequently, until their child is five years or six years of age. There is no age limit to giving a massage or stopping them. You can continue giving massages to your baby for as long as you wish.

Infant massage promotes bonding, growth and much more Studies show that bonding increases a parent's feeling of attachment as well as their desire to nurture and care for their infant. Massage can also enhance oxygen and nutrient flow to cells and improve breathing patterns and lung health (respiration).
