How to Make a Tournament Bracket Set the league name. Set the number of teams or participants. Set to either a single elimination or double elimination bracket. Hide or show the seed value in the bracket (show seed is the default). Set the bracket to simple or modern style (modern is the default).

3 Game Guarantee Tournaments are set up similar to Double Elimination Tournaments. There is a winner's bracket and a loser's bracket, the main difference being teams that lose their first two games will get to play an extra game in the loser's bracket in order to ensure everyone gets to play at least 3 games.

How does it work? A tournament bracket pits an even number of teams in several rounds of games until there's only one team standing. A bracket contains a minimum of four games,, but usually the tournament field contains many more teams.

Double elimination brackets are broken up into a winners bracket and a losers bracket, with the winner of the loser's bracket playing the winner of the winner's bracket for first place. Losers of matches in the winners bracket dropdown into a spot and play another loser to see who advances in the loser's bracket.

The results of pool play (ranked by win-loss records) will be used to place teams in elimination brackets (1 or 2 matches per team). Bracket play matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets (following regular season match rules, except no time limit is applied). Home team is determined by coin flip before each match.

A group pool play bracket is a draw format that breaks up competitors into smaller round robin tournament brackets or flights. The top finishers of each flight advance to a Playoff division to determine final standings. A group pool play bracket is displayed by round and is ideal for use in a tournament.

A 2 game guarantee bracket is a single elimination bracket with an extra game for each team that loses in the first round. 2GG means that only those who lose their first game go to the losers' bracket. If you win your first game but lose your second game, you are out.

"Seeding" a tournament is a way of ranking the teams and, assuming there is pool play, distributing the teams into the pools in such a way as to be fair to the teams involved, and to avoid matching up the best teams in the early rounds.
