A bond is asked to be executed by the accused person for “keeping peace”. The Magistrate has no power to ask for the execution of a bond for maintaining good behaviour, if the judge does that he is contravening this section.

A surety bond is a promise to be liable for the debt, default, or failure of another. It is a three-party contract by which one party (the surety) guarantees the performance or obligations of a second party (the principal) to a third party (the obligee).

Execution means signing by a representative or agent of the Surety with the authority and power to bind the Surety. Final Bond means a Performance Bond and/or a Payment Bond.

If you were arrested and are on pretrial release, you may be subject to the following bond conditions: You cannot leave the state of Texas until trial, subject to court permission. The judge could prohibit you from using any controlled substances, including prescription medications that include narcotics.

A personal bond secures a defendants release from jail based on their word and signature, without any financial security. The defendant agrees that they will return back to court for future proceedings.
