Michigan's FOIA requires that a public body respond to a request for public record within five business days after the request is received.

To expedite processing the Department recommends you submit your FOIA request online. Requests may also be posted to Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, ATTN: FOIA Coordinator, Suite 207, P.O. Box 30037, Lansing, MI 48909 or faxed to 517-241-1200.
