The ion paragraph organizes your content into vertically stacked tabs. Each tab includes a title and can be expanded (opened) to reveal the content associated with that tab. In Drupal, these tabs are called ion Items.

Page 1 ion Paragraph Outline. Topic Sentence. *Restate & answer the question. *Include the title and author of the story. Reason #1. *State one reason that supports your claim. Transitions: One reason… One way…. ... Evidence. *Cite one piece of evidence from the text to support your first reason.

The eight-sentence format can be boiled down to the following six elements: topic sentence, first major support, first minor support, second major support, second minor support and conclusion.

To put it simply, a paragraph should be as long or as short as necessary to develop a main idea. There is no absolute rule for how many sentences a paragraph must have. A paragraph can have two to three sentences, but the typical maximum number is five sentences to be considered a good paragraph.

A 1,000 word essay is 6 to 7 paragraphs. A 1,250 word essay is 8 to 9 paragraphs. A 1,500 word essay is 10 paragraphs. A 1,750 word essay is 11 to 12 paragraphs.

As you can expect, there is no fixed number of words that a paragraph should have. A rule of thumb: the paragraphs are usually about 100 to 200 words long, which is about 6-8 sentences.

There's often a lot of confusion, but if you're looking for a general answer to the question, “How many sentences in a paragraph?” the answer is there are 3 to 8 sentences in a paragraph. The important key to take away from this answer is that it's a rule-of-thumb.
