A landlord in a month-to-month tenancy may also give you a 30-day eviction notice for cause. The cause for the notice must be either for not living up to your rental agreement or not complying with your duties set forth in the law.

The Oregon three (3) day notice to quit for the nonpayment of rent is used by landlords when a tenant neglects to pay rent on time. The notice informs the tenant that they have three (3) days to either pay the total amount due or vacate the premises.

Notice Requirements for Oregon Tenants Oregon tenants who want to get out of a month-to-month rental agreement must provide at least 30 days' written notice. One exception is if the landlord doesn't provide an exit from each bedroom in the unit, the tenant can give the landlord a 72-hour notice.

After the eviction moratorium ends on October 1, renters have until March 31, 2021 to catch up on any rent payments they missed between April and October 2020. But landlords can give notices of termination or file evictions for other reasons, both during and after the moratorium.

The Oregon 10-day notice to quit for non-compliance relays to a tenant that they have committed a second violation of their lease within six (6) months of receiving notice for a similar violation and have ten (10) days to move out.
