By completing the Learn to Swim Stage 2 Award, swimmers will be able to: Jump in from poolside safely. Blow bubbles a minimum of three times rhythmically, with nose and mouth submerged. Move from a flat floating position on the back and return to standing without support.

Primary Skills. Swimmers should be able to propel 4-6 feet on their front without an aid. They continue to learn floating and kicking on front and back; to submerge with eyes open. They begin to master rhythmic breathing and develop bilateral breathing.

Level 4 & 5 - usually 6 - 12 years old Swim a “good” freestyle with side breathing a full lap (2 lengths) without stopping.
