You place your order on Parchment.com. Your institution reviews and approves your order. We send your transcript to its destination. You cannot send other admissions documents with your transcript through Parchment.

Parchment sends transcripts to receiving institutions when schools approve the order and upload the transcript records to Parchment. Parchment notifies the student, via email, as soon as the school has made the student's records available to Parchment. Parchment sends the electronic transcript immediately.

We recommend requesting a transcript online since that's the fastest method.

You may order a tax return transcript and/or a tax account transcript using Get Transcript by Mail or call 800-908-9946. Please allow 5 to 10 calendar days for delivery. You may also submit Form 4506-T.

It takes up to 10 days to process a request once it is received by the IRS. Tax Return or Tax Account transcripts provide information from the taxpayer's original tax return that loan companies or colleges normally require, eliminating the need for an original tax return.

Available on the IRS website at .IRS.gov or by submitting paper Form 4506T-EZ or 4056-T. You can also call 1-800-908-9946. The IRS will not accept requests for transcripts at its Taxpayer Assistance Centers.

Information In the Sign In box, enter your transcript order number and the email address you used to place the order, then click “View Status.” ... The current status of your order, with date and timestamp, will display on the main Order Summary screen for each recipient.
