Use sections breaks to divide and format documents of all sizes. For example, you can break down sections into chapters, and add formatting such as columns, headers and footers, page borders, to each.

It's done via CSS (inline or in a stylesheet) by adding 'page-break-after: always' to a paragraph at the bottom of your page (above where you intend to break). Optionally, you may need to also add 'page-break-before:always' to the paragraph or heading (or other block level element) at the top of the next page.

Use the pageBreakInside property in JavaScript to set the page-break behavior inside an element. Use the auto property to insert page break inside an element. Use auto or avoid property value to automatically insert page break inside an element, if needed, or avoid a page break, respectively.

The first type of document break is the page break, which partitions only the body text of the document. Of this type there are three kinds: simple page breaks, column page breaks, and text wrapping page breaks.

A page break is a special marker that will end the current page and start a new one. Click to place your cursor where you want to start a new page. Click the Insert tab. If necessary, expand the Pages group by clicking it. Click the Page Break button.

page-break-before: auto instead of . page-break-before: always. The "auto" will break the page only if the contents are at the end if the page, this will prevent breaking the page and leaving a lot of blank space.

You can use the CSS property page-break-before (or page-break-after ). Just set page-break-before: always on those block-level elements (e.g., heading, div , p , or table elements) that should start on a new line.

You can also insert a page break by pressing Ctrl + Enter. If you'd rather insert an entire blank page at the break, select Blank Page in the Pages group.

Page Break is a feature in MS Word that lets you start some content on a new page. To introduce a Page Break in Office 2003 and earlier: Click where you would want the new page to be started. Go to Insert->Break->Page Break.
