A rendition is a report that lists all the taxable property you owned or controlled on Jan. 1 of this year. Property includes inventory and equipment used by a business. Owners do not have to render exempt property, such as church property or an agriculture producer's equipment used for farming.

For persons age 65 or older or disabled, Tax Code Section 11.13(c) requires school districts to provide an additional $10,000 residence homestead exemption. Tax Code Section 11.13(d) allows any taxing unit to adopt a local option residence homestead exemption. This local option exemption cannot be less than $3,000.

What is a Rendition? Section 22 of the Tax Code requires every owner of business personal property used or located in Texas to report that property annually. The report is called a rendition. The rendition must be filed with the chief appraiser of the appraisal district in which the property is located.

You may request a bill via our online payment system or call (951) 955-3900. You may also obtain a bill in person at one of our office locations. Again, it is your responsibility to obtain your annual tax bill. Failure to receive a bill does not provide a basis for excusing penalties for late payment.

Write a brief description of the business and the square feet occupied. Fill in the business start date, sales tax permit number, and check any boxes that apply. If sold, please fill in the New Owners name. If moved, please fill in the new location address.

You can find out how much your current taxes are and make your payment by going to the Property Tax Account Lookup application or you may request a statement by calling us at 972-547-5020 during business hours.

Texas has no state property tax. The state does not set tax rates, collect taxes or settle disputes between you and your local governments.

Section 22.01 - Rendition Generally (a) Except as provided by Chapter 24, a person shall render for taxation all tangible personal property used for the production of income that the person owns or that the person manages and controls as a fiduciary on January 1.
