Refer to MILPERSMAN 1160-030 for conditional reenlistment authority when a member cannot meet service obligation due to extensions of 48 total aggregate extension months on current enlistment.

NAVPERS 1070/601. Page 1. IMMEDIATE REENLISTMENT CONTRACT. NAME: SSN: BR/CL: FIRST: I am reenlisting in the UNITED STATES NAVY/NAVAL RESERVE for years from unless sooner discharged by proper authority.

Sailors must reenlist within 180 days of their EAOS, except for: (1) Nuclear-trained Sailors. (2) Combat Zone Tax Exclusion (CZTE) qualified Sailors may reenlist within one calendar year of their EAOS.

If you are an E5 Sailor approaching your HYT threshold of 16 years, this pilot not only allows you to continue your naval career and potentially advance to the next rank, it provides a path for you to become eligible for retirement.

Enlistment extension policy. Effectively immediately, all Sailors, with the exception of nuclear-trained Sailors, can extend their current enlistment contract up to a total of 48 aggregate months to match their duty station tour length, or to obtain the required OBLISERV to execute PCS orders.

Reenlistment and Extension requests should be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the member's EAOS/SEAOS/TRF date/C-WAY expiration. Requests can take up to 2 weeks to process.

Members may be extended involuntarily beyond their EAOS as a result of apprehension, arrest, confinement, investigation, or filing of charges that may result in a trial by court-martial, and execution of any sentence thereof.

NAVPERS 1306/7 Enlisted Personnel Action Request was devised and automated to provide a standard Navy-wide format for authorized command representatives to assist Sailors in the submission of requests to cognizant enlisted detailers.
