- Complete the ultimate consignee information with their name and full address.
- If applicable, enter the intermediate consignee details for any parties involved in the delivery of goods.
- Input the forwarding agent’s name and address if one is authorized to prepare the SED.
- For vessel shipments, indicate the loading pier number where the goods will be loaded onto the vessel.
- Specify the method of transportation used for the shipment, e.g. vessel, air, rail, or truck.
- Record the name of the exporting carrier transporting the goods out of the U.S.
- Enter the port of export where the merchandise is shipped from.
- If applicable, provide the foreign port of unloading for vessel shipments.
- Check the appropriate box for whether the shipment contains hazardous materials.
- Complete other applicable fields based on shipment specifics, such as the shipment reference number and entry number.
- Fill in the Schedule B Description of Commodities along with the associated quantities, shipping weight, and pertinent identifiers.
- In the final step, review all entries for accuracy before saving, downloading, printing, or sharing the completed form.
