All court records are open to the public except as restricted by federal law, state law, court rule, court order, or case law.

How do I get a copy? Go to our online records search. In the upper right corner, click "Log On" Enter your log on information, or if you don't have any, click the "Register New Account" button. Search for the document and when you have the document image open, click the "Add to Cart" button.

Federal case files are maintained electronically and are available through the internet-based Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) service. PACER allows anyone with an account to search and locate appellate, district, and bankruptcy court case and docket information.

Customers can quickly request or view court records using our KC Script Portal. Most court records can also be accessed in person or by mail.

You may make a request for conviction CHRI based on an individual's name and date of birth by completing a Request for Conviction Criminal History Form in person or you may make a request for conviction CHRI by submitting a full set of fingerprints in person.
