Write a letter to the Admission Committee. This is not something all deferred applicants need to do or even should do, but some of you may consider writing a personal letter stressing your continued interest in Emory University and why you feel you are a compelling candidate for admission.

"Demonstrated interest" is not a factor in our application review process. Things like visiting campus, attending a virtual session, or talking with or emailing your admission counselor have no impact on the evaluation of your application.

Emory doesn't offer applicants interviews with its admissions staff. However, it will invite a small number of candidates to partake in the Emory Alumni Interview Program. Most applicants won't receive an interview invitation, and those that don't interview won't be disadvantaged in the admissions decision process.

Internship requirements vary, depending on the type of organization and industry. But all interns need a well-written resume, transcripts, and letters of recommendation prepared with their application. Employers may have additional requirements, such as a specific major or writing samples.

You can visit the career center and work with staff experts who can help you prepare with practice interviews, company advice, and more.
