Students will be notified via their official MSU email address regarding the status of their SAP Appeal Form. The decision of the SAP appeal committee is final.

SAP Appeals are typically reviewed within 3-4 weeks from the time an appeal is submitted online and supporting documentation is reviewed and deemed Complete. Students are responsible for adhering to all fee payment deadlines, even if they have a SAP Appeal under review.

You can review whether your appeal has been received on your myUCF Student Self Service Center by selecting the “View Financial Aid Status” link. The SAP appeal is listed as “Petition for Reinstatement” on this screen and will show as Pending once received.

A SAP appeal may be based on undue hardship when the failure to make satisfactory academic program is caused by the death of a relative of the student, severe personal injury or illness of the student, or other special circumstances determined by the school.

Completed SAP appeals will be reviewed within 15 business days. You will be notified by UI e-mail if your appeal is accepted or denied. Please note: Up to three appeals may be accepted.

Students must make sure their overall GPA is at or above a 2.0. Complete a minimum of 67 percent of all attempted credits. Failing grades, drops, incompletes, and withdrawals can result in failure to meet the 67% requirement.
