How do I renew my Ohio real estate license? Complete 30-Hours of approved continuing education. Log in to the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Real Estate eLicense Center. Enter your license information and pay the appropriate fee.

Agents holding a Major Lines license are required to complete twenty-four (24) credit hours, three (3) of which must be approved as ethics-specific credit. Any courses approved in Ohio may be taken to satisfy the remaining twenty-one (21) credit hours.

(B) Licensees must certify completing the thirty hours of continuing education on or before the licensee's date of birth three years after the licensee's date of initial licensure and every three years thereafter.

License holders must meet Continuing Education (CE) requirements during each two- year license period. CE must include 4 hours of Legal Update I, 4 hours of Legal Update II, 3 hours of Contract-Related coursework, and 7 hours of elective CE courses for a total of 18 hours.

Proof of continuing education compliance may not be submitted earlier than 60 days before the licensee's due date.
