BURN BAN STATUS: NONE A burning permit is required for all general outdoor burning. Burning permits may be obtained online from your local fire district.

As of October 25, 2022 there are NO burn bans in Kitsap County.

During a Stage 2 burn ban, burning residential debris is prohibited, as is any other outdoor fire such as a backyard fire pit or campfire (using firewood or charcoal).

There is a period during which campfires are not permitted at any time of day or night. Very generally, this period is from December 1 to March 31 inclusive, but it may vary from place to place and from year to year. Check the latest information on campfire conditions.

North Kitsap Fire & Rescue (NKF&R) is putting a measure on the November general election ballot to replace funding from an expiring special levy and maintain levels of service by returning the fire levy rate to its previously-approved level of $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation.

A burning permit is required for all general outdoor burning. Burning permits may be obtained online from your local fire district. Burning is allowed only during daylight hours and must be attended at all times.
