Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) Program is available to states, local and tribal governments, for the mitigation, management, and control of fires on publicly or privately owned forests or grasslands, which threaten such destruction as would constitute a major disaster.

Today, Governor Gavin Newsom reappointed Brian Marshall as the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) Fire and Rescue Chief.

FEMA coordinates across federal agencies to help state, local, tribal, and territorial partners respond to wildfires nationwide. Through FEMA, fire management assistance is available to state, local, tribal and territorial governments.

This new grant supports providing WA State fire districts/departments an opportunity to increase their capability and protect our communities against wildland fire. Our intent is to award 25 districts/departments across Washington state with up to $7,000.00 with a 10 percent match for a remote type vehicle fire nozzle.
