Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE) Constructs Measured: The GSE is designed to assess optimistic self-beliefs used to cope with a variety of demands in life. The scale was designed to assess self-efficacy, i.e., the belief that one's actions are responsible for successful outcomes.

The Teachers' Self-efficacy Scale (Caprara, 2001) was used. The scale is composed of 12 items on a 7-point Likert answer scale (from 1 = totally disagree to 7 = totally agree). An example of an item is: “As a teacher, I am capable of getting recognition and appreciation from my students”.
