Filling out the Energy Statement is an essential step for any project aiming to meet energy efficiency standards and regulations. This guide will provide you with a clear and structured approach to completing the Energy Statement, ensuring you have all the necessary information at hand.

Follow the steps to successfully complete your Energy Statement.

1. Press the ‘Get Form’ button to access the Energy Statement form and open it in the editing interface.
2. On the 'My details' page, enter or update your personal information, which will be displayed on any generated energy statements. Click 'Update details' to save your changes.
3. Navigate to 'My projects' and use the 'New project' button to create a new project. Ensure that you have at least one credit available in your account.
4. In the 'Details/location' section, input the first line of the address and Town/City. These fields are mandatory.
5. Provide the location of your development by entering a valid postcode or using coordinates. This entry is also mandatory.
6. Add a brief description of your project that summarizes its size and key features, ensuring it meets the requirements of the description field.
7. Select your local planning authority from the map and check the policy is correct before proceeding, as it cannot be changed later.
8. Click 'Create project' to finalize the details entered. This action will lock the information and consume one credit.
9. Proceed to the 'Buildings' tab to add building information, including type, floor area, heating systems, and any energy data you may want to include.
10. After entering building details, review the Energy consumption and CO2 emissions outputs to ensure they meet your expectations.
11. Once all sections have been completed, navigate to the 'Report' tab to generate your energy statement. You will be prompted to save and download the document.
